Couples and Family Counselling.
Sometimes the challenges in our lives are related to our interpersonal relationships. This may include problems within a couple or within a larger family. Dealing with these challenges may be daunting as it may require more than one person to change but the outcome of doing so can be tremendously rewarding.
How does family and couples counselling work?
Ideally all members of the couple or family attend counselling together to start. This allows the opportunity to establish shared goals and a common understanding of the process of change. Sometimes, not all members wish to attend at that is an acceptable starting point as well. When even one person is changing it can create a change in the larger system as other people are forced to react to the change.
